Will
County Child Advocacy Center
was established in 1995 to address the
needs of young victims of sexual and
physical abuse. When child sexual abuse
is revealed, children come into contact
with complex legal, medical and child
welfare systems that can be bewildering
and frightening. The Will County Child
Advocacy Center uses a victim-friendly
approach to remove some of the fear from
the investigative process for the children
and their families. It provides a
safe, non-threatening environment in which
a coordinated single child-sensitive
forensic interview is held, thereby
reducing trauma and guaranteeing the
statement's admissibility in court.
Support for the victim and family is
provided throughout the entire judicial
process. For more information,
please contact Sue Bloch at (815)
